The fundamentals

The Fundamentals is a workshop programme aimed at artists with no prior experience of producing their own work.

Over the course of 4-5 sessions, we deliver collaborative and interactive workshops in the fundamental skills required to produce your own work, and ways in which artists can apply their existing creative skills to this new challenge.

We deliver these courses in Higher Education and professional and community settings across the UK. Current syllabus includes:

  • UK Theatre Ecology

  • Branding & Communication

  • Marketing & PR

  • Budgets

  • Fundraising

  • Contracts & Negotiation

  • Company Structures

  • Production models

The course can be adapted to suit the needs of the host institution or organisation, and we are happy to discuss including additional modules or an assessment/essay element should this be required.
